I fear an ice hotel may be a somewhat risky enterprise… Instead you could turn it into a HEFCE-funded Centre of Excellence for the National Academy of Writing. Not forgetting to budget for cocoa and a fondue set of course.

Themed homework. Mmm. We might try lighting a fire inside the igloo and measuring how high the temperature gets before it collapses. Ray Mears that.

Katie’s school is off too, but the school website has themed homework. For art, pupils are advised to study Andy Goldsworthy’s ice installations and come up with their own interpretations, and photograph them. I’m not sure I entirely approve of This Sort Of Thing. I approve of igloos though.
